My Favorite Teacup:
An Afternoon Tea with the Virginia Tea Society on March 5, 2022
The Virginia Tea Society held its “My Favorite Teacup” tea on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Princess Anne Country Club in the Princess Anne Room. Attendees brought their favorite teacups to display as part of the centerpieces for each table. Several attendees stood up to explain what their teacup meant to them and why it was so valuable. Anne-Taylor Cahill gave a presentation on antique and very valuable commemorative cups from her personal collection. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (played by Nancy Jones) had a proclamation that she read at the end. Each attendee received a lovely cup and saucer to take home as a favor along with a placemat, bookmarks and printed tea quotes.
